Emily Burgess is an associate at Sher Tremonte LLP.
Ms. Burgess’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, internal investigations and white collar regulatory and criminal defense.
Ms. Burgess received her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif, a Founder’s Day Scholar, and an Articles Editor for the Cardozo Law Review.
While in law school, Ms. Burgess interned for U.S District Court Judge Alison J. Nathan in the Southern District of New York and for the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
Ms. Burgess received her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience, magna cum laude, from Indiana University Bloomington, where she was a Dean’s Distinguished Scholar and served as the Chair of the Residence Hall Association’s Judicial Board.
Ms. Burgess is admitted to practice in New York State and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
