Emma Spiro

Associate

Ms. Spiro’s practice focuses on white collar regulatory and criminal defense, internal investigations, and commercial litigation.

Ms. Spiro earned her J.D. cum laude from New York University School of Law, where she was a Florence Allen Scholar, a student advocate in the Federal Defender Clinic, and a staff development editor for the Review of Law and Social Change.

After graduating from law school, Ms. Spiro worked as a litigation associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP.  Prior to joining Sher Tremonte LLP, Ms. Spiro clerked for the Hon. John Michael Vazquez on the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Ms. Spiro graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Economics. At UPenn, she also excelled at lacrosse and received numerous athletic awards, including the prestigious Father’s Cup Award given to the most outstanding female student-athlete. For two years after college, Ms. Spiro was a fifth-grade teacher with Teach For America in a public school in Oakland, California.

Ms. Spiro is admitted to practice in New York State and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
